About The Role
This role is based out of NYC office.
Actively AI is seeking a driven Technical Recruiter to attract and hire best-in-class Engineering and Technical talent to the Actively team. You will be responsible for managing the full recruitment cycle for engineering and technical roles, from sourcing and screening candidates to guiding them through the interview and hiring process. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering skill sets, Actively's product, the ability to assess technical aptitude, and a passion for building diverse and high-performing teams. The ideal candidate has a strong network of engineering talent, experience working closely with hiring managers, and a knack for identifying high-potential candidates for a wide range of technical positions.
Your Role Includes:
- Partner with Actively's founders and engineering hiring managers to understand hiring needs and job specifications.
- Source and engage with high-quality engineering candidates across multiple channels (job boards, LinkedIn, social media, networking, and events).
- Screen resumes, conduct initial candidate interviews, and assess technical qualifications and cultural fit.
- Coordinate technical interviews with engineering teams and assist with the preparation of interview questions and assessments.
- Manage the interview process from initial contact to offer stage, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for candidates and hiring teams.
- Provide guidance and support to candidates, answering questions about the company, culture, and role.
- Collaborate with the HR team to manage job postings, applicant tracking, and offer negotiation processes.
- Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and feedback in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external agencies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to effectively recruit for specialized engineering positions.
- Promote diversity and inclusion by attracting a diverse pool of candidates for every role.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience successfully hiring best-in-class engineering talent at a top tier fast-growing startup
- Experience recruiting for specialized technical roles (e.g., AI/ML engineers). Strong understanding of differences among engineering roles.
- Ability to assess technical skills and collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate candidate qualifications.
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a focus on building relationships and delivering quality hires.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruiting software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Would also be great if you had prior experience with:
- Familiarity with current sourcing tools and techniques, including LinkedIn, social media, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and other technical communities.
- Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices in recruitment.
- Familiarity with coding tests, technical interviews, or other assessment tools.
