Job Description
We’re excited to see Actively AI clicking with well-known customers and there’s strong market interest in AI x sales. We are growing very quickly and it’s time to put the foot on the gas.
To do so, we are looking for a highly creative and ambitious
Sales Development Representative (SDR) with experience prospecting into larger companies (500 to 5000 employees), building a bottoms up and top down strategy to break into accounts.
As one of the early sales hires at Actively AI, you will own the following:
- Building our outbound strategy & machine - generating meetings + pipeline through cold call, cold email, etc. — significant volume of dialing (50-75 a day) and creative, research-driven outbound! You are constantly iterating on new messaging & strategies to engage prospects
- Social selling via LinkedIn (posting thoughtful, non-GPT generated content 2-3 times a week)
- Deeply multi-threading, using information learned & developing a POV to engage VPs & department leaders
- Be involved with preparing, managing, and progressing deals (ex. multi-threading, demo preparation, call review, etc.).
While your main focus will be Top of Funnel, as you drive more success there, you’ll have the opportunity to co-lead discovery calls and join demos to gain further experience down the sales cycle. With strong performance and ability to stretch above & beyond, there’s an opportunity to transition to a full-cycle Account Executive in a ~9 month time frame.

- Scrappiness - ‘do what it takes’ mentality. You’ve been an SDR at an earlier startup or have entrepreneurial experience
- You read this JD / our website and already have 10 novel ideas on ways to reach prospects
- Fast + creative - you move quick, are very open to experimentation and testing of new talk-tracks, email sequences, outbound approaches, etc.
- Resilient - hearing ‘no’ doesn’t faze you! A great signal here is that you ENJOY cold calling!
- Ambitious - driving revenue and building a generationally valuable company are both incredibly motivating to you

This role is not a good fit if…
- You are looking for a 9 to 5. With how ambitious our goals and visions are, the timelines in which we are looking to achieve it, and how much responsibility this position will have, 40 hours a week won’t cut it. Evening / weekend work does come with the territory.
- You are looking to sell a product that’s in a rinse & repeat phase. Our product is consistently evolving and improving as we get closer & closer to our vision, and the way you pitch it will evolve as we experiment to find what works best and expand the product surface area.
- You don’t do well when there’s ambiguity.
The base salary range for this full-time position based in New York is: $60,000 - $70,000. This position is eligible for incentive stock options, subject to the terms of Actively AI's applicable plans. This position is also eligible for variable compensation of $20,000 - $30,000 subject to personal performance, company performance, and the terms of Actively AI’s applicable plans. Actively AI offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: health, dental and vision insurance, retirement benefits, and unlimited PTO.
