SkyWater has partnered with an exciting oncology company looking for a Medical Affairs Leader. This critical role will report to the Chief Medical Officer and be an essential part of a growing company with a commercial product and strong financials.
We’re looking for seasoned medical affairs leaders with strong oncology experience. This fully remote position is based in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Lead Medical Affairs strategy and team operations to support clinical development and market access
- Drive project execution and strategies that support clinical development, including trial design and recruitment, investigator-initiated research, publications and other medical communications
- Contribute to strategic planning, product positioning, and pipeline opportunities
- Oversee data interpretation, publication, and compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align medical evidence with commercial goals
- Build strong external relationships with KOLs, medical societies, and payer groups
- Represent the company at scientific and industry events
- Guide field medical teams and support KOL engagement
- Manage budget and ensure efficient resource allocation
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and results
Desired Skills And Experience
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD) with deep oncology experience required
- Experienced in developing scientific content and leading Medical Affairs teams and complex projects
- Strategic, results-driven leader with a proven track record in fast-paced, dynamic settings
- Holds self and others accountable to goals and commitments
- Adaptable and responsive to evolving priorities and challenges
- Capacity to view Medical Affairs from both a medical and business perspective; to maintain strong collaborative relationships with the commercial team
- Skilled public speaker and effective networker with KOLs and experts
- 15+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with success in matrix environments
