Position Overview
The Georgia Pre-K Project Director is responsible for overseeing the implementation and administration of the Georgia Pre-K program at Big Blue Marble Academy. This role ensures compliance with state regulations, maintains high-quality standards, and fosters a nurturing learning environment for students.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with Bright from the Start and (DECAL) regulations and guidelines.
- Supervise and support Pre-k teachers and staff to maintain a high quality learning environment.
- Oversee curriculum implementation and instructional best practices to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Manage enrollment processes, student attendance, and class rosters.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with families, providing communication and support as needed.
- Coordinate professional development and training opportunities for staff.
- Monitor program performance and implement improvement strategies as necessary.
- Manage program budgets, resources, and materials efficiently.
- Conduct regular assessments and ensure proper documentation of student progress.
- Serve as a liaison between the school, DECAL, and other stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Familiar with Georgia Pre-k Program requirements and Bright from the Start (DECAL) guidelines
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is typically required
- skills in mentoring, coaching, and supporting lead and assistant teachers
- experience with conducting classroom observations
- strong grasp of licensing requirements and Pre-k standards
- Proficiency in scheduling, maintaining accurate records, and managing budgets or grant funds
