What You Will Achieve
The Order Fulfillment Coordinator will help coordinate the global shipping efforts of our biomaterials in collaboration with the team manager. This position contributes to our mission of accelerating research and discovery by improving access to useful research materials and information by ensuring timely delivery of materials to scientists in good working order.

LOCATION & POLICY ON REMOTE WORK
This position will work out of our Watertown, Massachusetts Headquarters, generally on a 9am-5pm schedule. Our beautiful office space has free, ample parking with a complimentary shuttle from Harvard Square and is on multiple bus lines, with the cost of public transit covered by Addgene.
The Role:
The Order Fulfillment Coordinator will act as “second in command”, supporting the team manager in day-to-day task and team oversight to ensure successful delivery of the Addgene materials to requesting labs and help guide the team through daily and weekly priorities. They may also assist with creating shippable units for orders (stabs and DNA aliquots), preparing and packaging plasmid, viral, antibody, and DNA orders, as well as take on other team support duties.
To Succeed in this Role, You Will:
- Work with other members of the Order Fulfillment team, Plasmid production team and/or Operations team to design and implement new processes as well as optimize existing ones
- Support team manager in directing the work of Order Fulfillment personnel and general day-to-day task management
- Act as point person for coordinating Deposit kit shipments
- Communicate areas of concern regarding processes and personnel with Order Fulfillment Manager and propose solutions
- Assist in overseeing inventory and procurement of packing and some lab material (room temp and cold chain)
- Assist in the receiving of inbound deliveries and successfully distributing to staff and/or designated areas in the office/lab
- Communicate and work effectively with the Product and Development teams on order processing issues/concerns arise that impact our operations
Skills and Competencies
- Experience with order processing/logistics and/or Laboratory experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to follow procedures and perform job tasks and assignments thoroughly
- Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts, processes, and technology quickly
- Demonstrated leadership skills in directing others towards a collective goal
- Ability to effectively communicate across a wide demographic to foster teamwork
- Ability to be flexible, and work in a fast paced environment

- Familiarity with general computer software, Google Workspace, and MS Office. Proficiency with Google sheets or Microsoft Excel preferred
- Must be mobile and able to lift and move up to 25 lbs on a regular basis
