Position Summary
Responsible for the installation and service of Security & Fire Alarms, Camera and Access systems.
About The Position
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Installs door and window sensors, motion sensors, glass break sensors, keypad and reader controls, cameras, door locks, and all other products used by Guardian.
- Self-dispatches to site as needed, ensuring prompt arrival to customer’s home and business.
- Suggests upgrading/upselling customer’s equipment packages, when needed.
- Willing to travel as required to perform duties.
- Participates in the on-call schedule.
- Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

- Offer solutions to customer related problems and issues and ensure there is proper follow-up
- Be flexible as a good team player sharing duties and responsibilities with fellow technicians
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position may require working with technician trainees and sharing knowledge and direction.
Education And/or Experience
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Two to four years of experience in alarm or similar installations.
Certificates, Licenses, Or Registrations
- Valid and current Washington State Driver’s License
- Valid Washington State Labor & Industries 06 Limited Energy Journeyman Electrical license
- NICET II Fire Card preferred
Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and TEAMS.
- Ability to operate a scissor and boom lift
- Competent in the service and installation of the following brands: Alarm.com, DSC, DMP, Brivo, Honeywell, Liftmaster Intercom, Qolsys, Eagle Eye and Open Eye Cameras

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee may be required to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus; uses fingers, hands, arms when working with mouse, keyboard, monitors; must be able to climb a ladder and be flexible enough to crawl through attics and crawl spaces when required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may sometimes work in a typical cubicle type office environment with overhead lighting and temperature control, and low noise levels. The employee mostly travels from job to job in a company vehicle and will be exposed to outside environmental or on-site conditions.
