JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary:
As a Network Administrator, you will be an integral part of our IT team, focusing on the maintenance, optimization, and security of our network devices and server infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting, network configuration, and hardware support, ensuring efficient, stable, and secure IT operations. You’ll engage in technical support, manage network protocols, and implement scalable solutions to meet organizational demands.
Job Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair network infrastructure hardware, including NVRs, IP cameras, workstations, and servers, to maintain network integrity and security.
- MUST HAVE: CCTV, NVR and ACCESS CONTROL experience.
- Configure, deploy and support new installations of Avigilon, Milestone, and American Dynamics video surveillance systems, including IP camera setup, network storage integration, and system optimization.
- Execute hardware upgrades, including CPU, memory, and storage enhancements, across all computing platforms to optimize system performance.
- Manage, configure, and maintain both Windows and Linux servers, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization through VMware or Hyper-V on occasion.
- Implement, configure, and secure mobile device management (MDM) solutions, ensuring reliable and secure mobile access to network resources and corporate data.
- Conduct training and documentation for users on access control and security software systems, with a focus on system usage, troubleshooting, and best practices.
- Provide Tier 2 network and systems support to field technicians, resolving complex escalated incidents through remote and onsite diagnostics.
- Support firmware and software updates for security systems, ensuring compliance with the latest security standards and functional enhancements.
- Execute various network administration tasks, including VLAN configuration, routing and switching protocols, and firewall policies.
- Perform additional duties as required to maintain IT systems' availability, reliability, and security.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or technical school degree is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience working with electronic devices.
- Experience working with access control systems, NVR's, intrusion detection, CCTV, and other low-voltage electronic systems is required.
- Vast Networking and IT knowledge.
- Understanding of technology relating to Microsoft's core business applications such as Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, Terminal Services/RDS/Citrix.
- Strong organization and time management.
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
- Ability to implement network drawings and read schematics
- Great communication and teamwork.
- Valid driver’s license.
