Business Development Manager
Control Service Company is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager in the Kansas / Missouri region. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for selling and expanding market share of various control systems offered by Control Service, primarily Automated Logic Building Automation & Crestron Lighting Controls, Gallagher Security, Edwards Fire and Others. Description
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for nurturing new relationships with prospective clients, while also maintaining exceptional account management for existing clients. Business Development Managers maintain relationships with owners, engineers and contractors to position Control Service as a leading provider of Low Voltage solutions which include: Automated Logic HVAC Controls, Gallagher Security Access Control, Crestron Lighting Control, Edwards Fire Alarm, Hanwha Camera, Bosch Intrusion & Avigilon VMS. Successful Business Development Managers will be able to match clients with the solutions provided by Control Service Operations team.
Duties Include
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and industry professionals
- Prospect for new clients
- Sales forecasting and planning
- Develop technical knowledge with: Automated Logic, Crestron, Gallager, Edwards, Hanwha, Avigilon, and Bosch
- Be responsive and available to answer customer questions and concerns
- Work with all levels of a customer organization, from end user to C-suite
- Develop accurate and concise proposals that address customer problems
- Participate in industry events for networking opportunities: golf tournaments, annual conference, lunch and learns etc.
Must Haves
- Personality and demeanor to meet new people and form new relationships
- Strategic thinking and planning throughout the sales process
- Ability to explain complex ideas and solutions in very simplistic terms
- Self-driven with ability to perform with little direction or oversight
- 5-10 years of industry experience

Compensation - $65-$85K Base Salary + Unlimited Commission Opportunity

The role requires 5-10 years of industry experience, with a strong ability to establish and maintain client relationships. Candidates should possess strategic thinking and planning skills, be self-driven, and able to explain complex ideas simply. A 4-year degree in Engineering or Business is preferred.
