Elisa for Life is an insurtech startup modernizing how permanent life insurance is sold. For 100+ years, the industry has relied on cold calls and door-to-door sales. That doesn’t work for today’s digital-first consumer.

Our product, ELISA is a digital advisor that embeds on life insurance agents’ websites, giving consumers a seamless, self-directed buying experience while generating high-quality leads for our agents 24/7. Our founding team helped pioneer this experience direct to consumer, now, with Elisa for Life, we are bringing this to the B2B2C space. V1 of the product is done and first clients are live. We’re ready to grow.

The Role

We're looking for a full-stack engineer to join as our first CTO with the potential to become a Co-Founder. This starts part-time (15–20 hrs/week) with some salary + meaningful equity, moving to full-time as we grow revenue and raise funding (Q2 target).

You’ll lead our tech strategy, work hands-on across the stack, and shape ELISA’s evolution.

What You’ll Do

Lead our small but growing team of developers and contribute as a player-coach across front-end and back-end.

Deploy and customize ELISA on client (agent) websites
Oversee UI/UX improvements based on user behavior and marketing channels
Maintain and scale our database and lead distribution systems
Q2/Q3: Architect an API integration with a third-party tech provider to bring a first-of-it's-kind offering to market.
Q3/Q4: Explore bringing AI to bear in driving and informing the ELISA product.
