Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Physical Security Technology Support for a Full time assignment with one of our premier Utilities clients in San Jose, CA (onsite) .

Responsibilities :

Perform analysis of network needs and contribute to network architecture, integration, and installation design.
Work with integrators to ensure that the computer system platform provides sufficient computing resources to deliver the desired level of business performance.
Coordinate with other departments and external vendors to understand and meet their requirements.
Evaluate network hardware and software requirements and configure, implement, or give reccomendation.
Check systems to optimize performance and initiate recovery action after system failures.
Support control systems access and security process and procedure.
Verifiy service by testing and re-programming circuits, equipment, and alarms.
Identify and correct problems for physical security access control and video management platforms, including responding to system alerts and alarms.
Coordinate third-party maintenance for network hardware, software, and physical security systems services.
Develop or establish strong relationships with service providers.
Prepare and maintain documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts.
Maintains and tests disaster recovery plans.

Outstanding communication skills
Problem solving & decision making with leadership abilities

Technical Skills and Requirements:

8+ years in a technical physical security role
Bachelors Degree in relevent background or equivelant relevent certifications
Must be proficient with Genetec PACS and VMS
Must have Network certifications
Must be proficient with Lenel.
