We’re expanding our Commercial Segment, seeking to hire a Vice President of Finance who will focus on overseeing all financial aspects of the company. This includes strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, accounting, pricing administration, financial planning, and analysis. In partnership with executive leadership, the VP of Finance plays a critical role in driving the financial performance and long-term growth of the company. This position will sit onsite full-time in Phoenix, AZ. This position will report to the President, Electromechanical Solutions Group.
What You Will Be Doing - Develop and implement the financial strategy in alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the President and members of the executive management team.
- Identify and manage business risks and opportunities.
- Oversee the preparation and approval of all financial reporting materials and metrics.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and regular forecasting.
- Analyze financial performance and implement strategies to improve profitability.
- Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
- Optimize the company's financial operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the financial and accounting system controls and standards and ensure timely financial reporting.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee risk management and insurance activities.
- Coordinate audits and tax preparations with external auditors and consultants.
- Manage cash flow and forecasting; direct all financial, project-based, and departmental accounting.
- Monitor and manage the capital structure, including debt and equity financing.
- Partner with and present financial reports to the executive team and corporate leadership.
- Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to internal management and corporate leadership.
- Interface with corporate representatives, global finance leadership, auditors, tax accountants, banking officials, and all current and potential creditors to discuss financial position and issues.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, cost accounting, and financial management.
- Proven track record of strategic financial planning and analysis.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems, with strong Excel skills.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
