We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network management, configuration, and troubleshooting, along with expertise in network management tools, protocols, and scripting languages. This role requires proficiency in maintaining and optimizing network performance, ensuring system security, and performing network diagnostics to support a robust infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and configure complex network systems to ensure optimal performance and stability.
- Utilize NMS/NCCM tools and solutions (e.g., SolarWinds, ManageEngine, PRTG, Cisco Prime, NetMRI, Nagios, Open NMS) for network monitoring and management.
- Analyze and troubleshoot network protocols such as SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog, SSH, etc., to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues.
- Develop and maintain scripts using Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages to automate network processes and tasks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement configuration changes, updates, and system improvements.
- Ensure adherence to security standards and protocols, conducting routine audits to identify vulnerabilities.
- Operate and execute Linux shell commands (cat, grep, sed, vi, etc.) for system administration tasks.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in network management and configuration.
- Tools: Hands-on experience with network management tools and solutions such as SolarWinds, ManageEngine, PRTG, Cisco Prime, NetMRI, Nagios, and Open NMS.
- Protocols: Strong understanding of networking protocols and standards, including SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog, and SSH.
- Scripting: Proficiency in one or more scripting languages, such as Python or PowerShell, to streamline tasks and processes.
- Operating Systems: Familiarity with Linux and experience using Linux shell commands for system operations.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
Preferred Certifications:
- Certified Network Administrator (CNA), Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), or comparable certifications.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar certifications in network security.
