The
Director of Employee Performance and Engagement plays a pivotal role in ensuring each region is staffed with the right people, in the right roles, at the right time. This position blends strategic workforce planning, talent development, and high-impact relationship building to cultivate an engaged, high-performing team that supports optimal patient care.
This position will be working in the Greenville office daily.
This is a full-time, salary-based 8-hr position (8:00AM-5:00PM) (Monday-Friday).

Key Responsibilities
Evaluation & Talent Alignment
- Monitor staff performance using both quantitative tools (e.g., utilization data, engagement metrics) and qualitative feedback from staff and patients.
- Identify high- and low-performing team members; recommend role changes, professional development, or exit strategies as appropriate.
- Partner with leadership to ensure staff are matched with roles that align with their strengths, skills, and life circumstances.
- Partner with Regional leadership to build accountability coaching and success plans to reduce turnover and promote team growth.
- Identify and recommend appropriate apprenticeship opportunities.
Retention & Growth
- Serve as a coach and advisor for employees seeking advancement or career shifts within the organization.
- Proactively identify internal talent ready for growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with the VP of Recruitment & Retention and Regional VP to address staffing gaps and maintain full coverage across roles.
Strategic HR Partnership
- Understand and communicate compensation structures, including incentive plans and role-specific bonuses.
- Support new hires by aligning them with roles that best fit their credentials and career goals.
- Monitor how staffing decisions impact patient outcomes and make proactive recommendations to improve care quality.
Continuous Improvement
- Champion Jack Welch’s differentiation principle—ensuring top performers are recognized and underperformance is addressed promptly and thoughtfully.
- Advocate for team members demonstrating growth potential and readiness for increased responsibility.
- Contribute to strategic workforce planning across each HUB, supporting scalable and sustainable staffing solutions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Basic understanding of healthcare roles and interdisciplinary care models.
- Prior management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage a diverse, cross-functional team.
- Proven ability to assess performance and coach for improvement.
- Experience handling sensitive HR matters with empathy and professionalism.
- Familiarity with recruiting platforms and HRIS systems is a plus.
