We offer students the opportunity to spend a summer working at one of Securitas’ US Operating Centers. This internship program offers current college students real-world application of business within the North America Shared Services organization. You will participate in a 10 week internship located in Parsippany, NJ for 32-40 hours per week.
As a
Junior Level EUS Intern, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to real-world projects and gaining valuable experience in the field of IT end user support. You will have the opportunity to develop and apply technical skills that will contribute to the growth and success of our business.
Successful completion of the internship program could lead to a return internship for the following summer or employment at the organization in the future.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide administrative support to the L2 EUS team with ticket management and triage.
- Support the office with laptop build procedures, configuration, and packing of laptops.
- Take regular inventory of laptops in storage to ensure the loaner pool is functional.
- Perform basic Level 1 troubleshooting of incidents with instruction and direction from the L2 team.
- Follow SOPs to complete provisioning requests as directed by the L2 team.
- Complete floor walks in the office to ensure proper functioning and layout of equipment, including meeting room setups.
- Other tasks will be assigned by senior members of the L2 team and the EUS manager as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Prior experience in IT support or related fields is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with different versions of Windows (Windows 10, Windows 11)
- Ability to troubleshoot common Windows issues (e.g., system crashes, slow performance, software compatibility).
- Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Understanding common issues (e.g., file corruption, installation problems, connectivity issues in Outlook).
- Basic knowledge of common hardware issues (e.g., battery, RAM, hard drive, screen problems).
