Overview
The stream team is a group of industry experts in video streaming technologies from many diverse backgrounds. Working with such smart and dedicated team members is one of the most exciting parts of working at Verkada.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain and improve Verkada’s video and audio streaming infrastructure
- Ensure customers have the best streaming experience for both live and historical footage
- Architect distributed real-time data connections between camera → cloud → browser
- Write clean, maintainable, testable code
Requirements
3+ years experience of industry experience in video streamingLoves to solve hard technological optimization problemsDegree in Computer Science or similar fieldExperience debugging frontend performance and network optimizationsExperience with a JavaScript web application framework. Nice to have experience with ReactSolid understanding of modern JavaScript. Nice to have experience with TypeScriptExperience with Unit and Integration testsExperience working in a fast-paced startup environment (Comfortable with SQL, Distributed Systems, Operating Systems, AWS, Docker, etc. Works well with product and design teams

Annual Pay Range
Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).

$130,000—$280,000 USD
