Position: Technical Security Systems Specialist
Location: Candidates need to be located in the greater San Francisco Bay Area with the ability to visit the client site(s) throughout Northern California as needed.
Pay: $65 to $70/hour (depending on experience)

Conde Group is seeking a Technical Security Systems Specialist to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Coordinate Security and Regulatory Requirements: Collaborate with Critical Infrastructure Protection, Physical Security Specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory technical requirements and company standards.
- Technical Security Representation: Act as the technical representative on projects related to physical security technology, ensuring designs meet company standards.
- Site Visits and Inspections: Perform site visits to assess existing conditions, verify security system design compatibility, monitor progress and quality of work, and validate completion of work and documentation for regulatory requirements.
- Provide Technical Guidance: Develop technical requirements, bid drawings, specifications, and standards to support Security Integrators in creating fully engineered and constructible designs.
- Respond to RFIs: Review and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from internal and external teams, ensuring design parameters are accurately followed.
- Approve Technical Submittals: Regularly review and approve engineering drawing packages, wiring and block diagrams, device loading schedules, and riser diagrams.
- Technical Support and Installation: Answer technical questions from project teams, ensuring the proper implementation of security designs.
- IT Coordination: Collaborate with IT resources to update DNS entries and VLAN assignments, and validate programming requests through detailed device loading schedules.
- Safety and Compliance: Support the Contractor Safety Program by conducting on-site safety observations, post-job evaluations, and ensuring NERC/CIP compliance.
- Documentation Review: Review technical documentation to ensure accuracy and successful project completion.
- Recommendations for Security Measures and Standards: Provide recommendations for the development of security technology standards and alternative security measures across the company.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with Physical Security Specialists and project teams on both major and smaller projects, ensuring alignment, communication, and regulatory compliance.
- Vendor Management: Engage with 3rd-party vendors and contractors to ensure security technologies meet company standards.
- System Maintenance and Inspection: Supervise field maintenance, inspections, and compliance-related tasks, including site visits for validation of work.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in system design, security technology, and engineering, ensuring alignment and collaboration across departments.
- Security Technology Expertise: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of current security technologies (e.g., Bosch cameras, Axis cameras, AMAG access control) used by the Corporate Security team.
- Client and Vendor Collaboration: Work with internal clients, security service vendors, and private security organizations on access consolidation and security system projects.
- Physical Security Expertise: Utilize expertise in physical security measures, including access control, CCTV systems, locks, and IDS, to ensure the safety and security of company facilities.
Position Requirements:
- Understanding of security communications systems, including fiber optics, copper network communications, communications backbones, and wireless applications.
- Intermediate knowledge of mechanical and electrified door hardware.
- Proficiency in using Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Familiarity with Genetec and/or AMAG security systems.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain advanced technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently or within a team environment.
- Exceptional work ethic, accountability, and business judgment.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in low voltage security systems engineering or design (with a High School Diploma/GED), or 1+ year of experience (with an Associate’s Degree or higher in a related field).
- 5 years of related technical experience, including 2 years in security system design/engineering or security operations management.
- Experience managing complex, enterprise-wide, multi-site security system projects involving cross-functional teams.

- Experience designing and programming access control and camera systems on an enterprise-wide level.
- Experience creating network and system diagrams, conduit plans for low voltage systems, and IP-based security devices for multi-site security infrastructure.
- Experience as a security integrator (e.g., Ccure, Software House, Lenel, AMAG).
- Experience with the design and deployment of shooter detection systems, IDS, Lobby Management Systems, and turnstiles.
- Prior experience working in the utility industry is preferred.
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of OSHA 10 required within 3 months of employment (OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred).
- ASIS PSP or CPP certification is a plus.
